Back for their first show since the pandemic caused their soulful jubilations to come to a grinding halt, East Dallas soul revelation Bastards of Soul is back up on the scene and ready to celebrate the Summer of Soul at this exclusive special event.

Rooted in infectious rhythm and blues from the late 60s heyday, BoS bring a funky backbone, warm textures and punchy brass for dynamic frontman Chadwick Murray to soar on top of.

It’s can’t stop/won’t stop super-dynamite soul all night long. So peep the Dallas Observer’s 2020 Album of the Year – BoS’ debut release Spinnin’ on Eastwood Music Group, and make sure you’re there for their triumphant return!

“You can hear the influences, and those, along with their original Texas sound will make your day whether you’re a soul lover or not“  – Flea Market Funk

Long-time Kessler favorite Daphne Willis will open the show. She has performed at most of Eric’s Birthday Benefits, including the inaugural show in 2012. Daphne’s hit song, “Somebody’s Someone” has touched millions of lives all over the world with over 25 million views. A newly re-visioned version of the song was recently released and is available at all the usual music sources.

Clinging unapologetically to a classic sound, and showcasing a smooth visual aesthetic to match, Bastards of Soul stormed thunderously on to the DFW scene in the spring of 2016. Propelled by a veteran crew of legendary East Dallas players, and led by the raw soul power of charismatic frontman Chadwick Murray, Bastards of Soul are ecstatic to return to the great city where they recorded their debut LP release Spinnin’ at Niles City Sound. In a celebration of Record Store Day and their new 7” single for “If These Walls Could Talk” – catch their dynamite soul on April 18th at the legendary Ridglea Theater.

Bastards Of Soul stormed thunderously on to the DFW scene in the spring of 2016 and created a substantial buzz with their dynamic live set and tight musical chops. Led by the raw soul power of charismatic frontman Chadwick Murray, the veteran Bastards crew put East Dallas Soul on the map with their stellar debut single “The Way It Should Be”. But now the Waiting Time is over as KXT presents the record release party for their brilliant full-length debut, Spinnin’ via Eastwood Music Group. Recorded at Niles City Sound in Fort Worth and produced alongside Josh Block (Leon Bridges’debut), Spinnin’ is a collection of vintage-feeling R&B cuts that MUST be experienced live.
